He is a certified instructor under world renown Jeet Kune Do authority Burton Richardson, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt under BJ Penn's coach Charuto Verissimo, and has trained extensively with the legendary Gracie family. Specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Filipino Kali, Chris has traveled the country training with some of these arts finest Instructors. |

Chris began training Jeet Kune Do Concepts/Filipino Martial Arts in 1990 and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in late 1993. Part of the first wave of Americans to study Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chris trained with Relson Gracie at the original Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Honolulu. Training in Hawaii gave Chris a unique opportunity to learn Gracie Jiu-Jitsu from the family who created it training with Relson and other visiting members of the legendary Gracie family. |
